为了更深入地学习和了解中西方传统节日的文化，进一步激发我院学生的英语学习兴趣，4月8日，我院英语社团在教学楼318教室开展了主题为Culture at home and abroad的活动。刘佳利老师全程参与并指导本次活动。
活动现场，同学们争先恐后地回答有关传统节日的各种题目，气氛极其活跃，大家在活动中能把英语课上学到的有关于传统节日的知识灵活展现而各尽风采。
下面小英对活动中提到的几个节日做一个简单的介绍吧！
Spring Festival is celebrated in China and many other Asian countries, commonly known as "Chinese New Year". It is a time for family reunion and people will have a big dinner with some traditional good luck foods like fish and dumplings on Chinese New Year’s Eve .
The Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. It is a traditional festival to commemorate the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. The indispensable traditions on this day include eating zongzi, dragon boat race and drinking realgar wine.
Thanksgiving is on the fourth Thursday of November every year. In America, Thanksgiving is a holiday for family reunion. On Thanksgiving Day, American people will prepare and share Thanksgiving feast with their family and friends at home. Turkey is the traditional food.
同学们分两组开展了与以上节日相关的问答活动：
1.为庆祝春节你们家里都做了哪些准备 ？
2.春节在其他国家也流行吗 ？
3.今年是什么年呢？帅哥靓女生于何年？
4.除夕夜你们都在做什么？
5.中西方节日共同特点是什么？
两组的同学认真思考，踊跃回答，对东西方几个重要传统节日有了更深的认识和理解。
记得来时路，不忘梦归处。传统节日的形成，是一个民族历史文化长期积淀的结果。从流传至今的传统节日习俗里，后人不但可以看到古人生活的精彩画面，感受到传统文化的无穷魅力，进一步提升民族文化认同感，从而不迷失方向，让前行的脚步更加笃定。
